MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — 40-year-old Lagary Williams of Atlanta, also called “Frog”, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances on Monday, with other members of the group being sentenced the day after.
Williams was reportedly part of a large drug trafficking ring, and was supplying large quantities of controlled substances, including fentanyl, to distributors located in Milledgeville, Georgia.
He currently faces a sentence anywhere from 10 years, up to a life sentence, followed by a minimum of five years of supervised release and a $10,000,000 fine, with his sentencing hearing scheduled for February 7th, 2024.
The four of Williams’ co-defendants arrested are:
- Damon Hayes aka “D-5” — sentenced to serve 275 months in prison, 10 years of supervised release
- Derek Ingram — sentenced to serve 190 months in prison, five years of supervised release
- Quintavius Horton aka “Bloody Bae” — sentenced to serve 120 months in prison, five years of supervised release
- Travarious Davis aka “D Red” — sentenced to serve 30 months in prison, five years of supervised release
“Fentanyl and methamphetamine have taken a terrible toll on our communities,” said Robert J. Murphy, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration Atlanta Division. “This drug distributor and his associates will now face the consequences of their actions.”
Along with the recovery of 2.5 kilograms of fentanyl found in Williams’ apartment, agents recovered one kilogram of methamphetamine, two kilograms of cocaine, around 50 grams of cocaine base, approximately seven pounds of marijuana, and two handguns.
“Our main supply of drugs into Central Georgia is coming from Atlanta. The work of local, state and federal law enforcement linked this Baldwin County drug trafficking network to a significant supplier in Atlanta,” said Ocmulgee Drug Task Force retired Commander Wesley Nunn. “Anytime we catch a fentanyl supplier means we are saving many lives.”
